10 Tips to Stay Happy & Stress Free - Mental Detox

Staying healthy from within goes hand in hand with the outer beauty. Being in stress shows on your face, and even makes you look older than you are if the stress stays continuously in your mind.
So today I am gonna share 10 ways that I think are most important for relieving stress and be happy everyday.
1. Embrace your mornings

Mornings are most important and should be spent in positive way to let the whole day go smoothly. So to make your mornings sweet, it should be planned ahead.
Go to bed on a Positive Note.
Sometimes it might happen that you want to hit the bed and forget everything that happened, and you try a lot - that is fine, but what happens is your body still knows how it feels and it will play a flashback of it in the morning, making the mornings - sour.
Solution?
Before going to bed, do something that you know you enjoy the most, it can be reading, watching comedy, drawing, listening to music, painting, whatever. But, sleep with a positive & clear mind.
Another helping thing can be before going to bed, think about something that inspires or motivates you that you’ll do just after waking up. This will give a smile on your face when you wake up.
2. Complete 3 important tasks daily

We people are so busy in our routines, that we think we have no time for our bigger goals.
And that's not true.
There's a way you can accomplish your bigger goals & get closer to them everyday.
And, here's the deal:
Divide your bigger goals into smaller ones. Then prioritize them.
Everyday pick only 3 tasks from the list, and finish them by the end of the day.
Another tip:
Giving each of the tasks a time limit will make sure you finish them quickly without wasting your time ;)
3. Meditate

Meditation is a difficult thing for beginners. But those who use them know its benefits.
It makes you calm, rejuvenates, inspires, increases self-awareness and consciousness and gives inner peace.
If you stay stressful most of the time, meditation might be for you.
Tip:
Try for at least 3 days and see how you feel. Continue, if you are fine with it. :)
4. Flush unproductive people
There are some people in our lives that are toxic for us but hardest to let them go and you always have a logical excuse to keep them. But it's best for you if you let them go.
Here are some of the people you should flush:
the drainer,
the one that draws you in wrong direction,
the conditional friend,
the frenemy,
the jealous one,
the one who puts you down, and
the non-motivator.
Some of our friends and relatives are meant to be there for a life time and some of them are for a season.
End these people's season as soon as possible.
5. Go positive and Learn to Let Go
First of all, I’d say wake up positive, because if the mornings are good, the days go great.
The Law of Attraction says, if you think positive, you’ll attract positive, and vice versa. But the human nature is, it counts the negatives. And also there is jealousy. By seeing something attractive, we go all negative by thinking "I don't have it, why can't I have it... and" it goes on...
A Tip:
Rather than thinking "I don't have it", think "Wow, it's amazing, I'll have this. Let's add this to my list of Things I want in my Life."
And that List should make you happy and inspired every time you see it.
Another tip I’d like to add, which is very basic and a lot of people know, but no one follows:
Count up to 10 when you get angry.
This will give you time to breath and think. Decisions taken in rush are worse ever.
6. Don’t Run Away From Your Problems
Sometimes the problem is so annoying that you cannot gather courage to face it, and then you delay the problem till you can.
But that stays in your mind until it is solved. And this creates stress.
Gather the courage to face it and finish it as soon as possible.
What can be the greatest harm that can happen to you. So, just go for it.
Here I'll quote my Dad's sayings:
Problems are a part of your life, not your whole life.
7. Be Aware of Surroundings
Do you get lost in your thoughts often?
Happens to me all the time...
Sometimes we are so lost in our thoughts that we don’t notice the things happening around. We think a lot which adds up to stress.
Tip:
You can only control that you can, so there is no reason to worry for that you can’t.
Let go of the things that you can’t control and live in the present. Yes, “right now” is the only time we have control on. Live in the right now and forget the others.
Because this is what we can change.
Past is done and the future is still to come.
8. Spend time with family & friends (phones aside)

We use social media so often that we don’t have time to spend moments with those who we live with.
So, once in a while, keep your phone aside and spend time with your family or friends.
If you are actually very busy, take out some time once a week to keep phone aside and spend time with them.
Or make a rule of having meals together without touching the phone. This will help you enjoy the time with them, and you’ll cherish those moments.
9. Practice Gratitude

Make a journal & write everything that went positive and good that day.
Pick any 3 people you were grateful to that day, and tell them the next day about it. You’ll notice that you feel happy by seeing others happy.
10. Smile & Laugh a lot
Smile without reason and find reasons to laugh.

Tip:
Give a smile to at least one stranger every day.
And, Laughing is the best practice to reduce stress.
